Temple Unit NAACP Annual Founders Day Banquet

The Temple Unit NAACP will be having its annual Founders Day Banquet on February

24, 2017 at the Cultural Activities Center in Temple, TX 6:30 PM. There will be a social period

from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Just as years pass this banquet will be as moving and historical. Our

speaker will be the Honorable Frank D. Jackson; he is the Assistant Vice Chancellor for

Governmental Relations at Texas A&M University System. Mr. Jackson has an extensive career

in government and education, he graduated from Prairie View A&M College, was a Captain in

the US Naval Reserves, he served seven terms as Mayor of the City Prairie View and his bio

goes on and on with many accolades.

Our Founders Day Banquet is to raise scholarship funds for Temple High school

graduates. Many students will not receive any funds without your support. Last year we gave

scholarships to eight students totaling over $8000.00. Scholarships are available to all graduating

students regardless of their race or religion.

We need your help to continue this tradition; our goal is to have as many sponsors as

possible to help every student that would like to further their education. We know that an

education is a way out of poverty for many young people so, please don’t let them down.

Our sponsor levels are:

_____Platinum $5000.00 –

You will receive a full page advertisement and sponsor recognition in the Founders Day Book

also, a table for (8), a video presentation ad (you supply the video), special recognition and a

banner hung at the banquet (you supply the banner)

_____Gold $3000.00 –

You will receive a full page advertisement and sponsor recognition in the Founders Day Book

and special recognition also, a table for (8)

______Silver $1000.00 –

will be greatly appreciated.

Contributions to the NAACP units are not deductible as charitable contributions. Only the

portion that is remitted to the National Office qualifies as a charitable deduction.
