Sadly, this Fairfield needs a major upgrade in its rooms. We stayed 3 nights in 2 rooms, the staff was great, but the rooms were not, my room had a cracked window that would not fully shut & the other room had an air conditioning unit that did not operate correctly. The lighting in the room was awful, the shade was cracked and the bed really uncomfortable.

Pretty good lodging. Their parking lot is small and you can park at the Comfort Inn next door. I had to wait two days for a room to open up here. Apparently the town of Temple is busy when school is back in session in addition to being home to a Level I Trauma Center (Baylor Scott & White Medical Center). This hotel is across the street from the medical center which was great while my family member was in the hospital. I had two issues: the abundance of crickets and the coin laundry. Temple is FILLED to the brim with crickets. They are everywhere including your guest room. The coin laundry was exactly that, a coin laundry in 2023. My local coin laundry uses a combination of coins and cards that can be loaded with coins and credit cards. The coin laundry was $2 and the dryer barely dried my clothes. Did I mention that they did not have a change machine. Also there's no camera in there or outside the door so if someone walks out with your clothes, you're SOL.

Ok for a night.....
Was here for a work weekend. Coworkers complained of hearing people walking above them, came in and a brush was on the floor and the tv was on knowing it wasn't on the floor nor was the tv on when she left. Questioned front desk and they had no idea. Second co worker went to take a shower and upon grabbing the curtain found a wash cloth that was left behind.
After a long day on base I came back and was sitting on couch about to watch tv and noticed there was something on the tv stand. Shrugged it off, but later when I went to do my buisness papers found out it was water because the ceiling leaked considering there was a hard rain the day before. Not the first time it has leaked in that area. Can see the patch job from water damage. I can just imagine the mold. It's not like they have top notch maintenance or used Killz on it. Rm 209 btw.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Barbara A.Redondo Beach, CA8203May 28, 2023
Not happy with this hotel at all. I thought since it was a Marriott it would be good. While the rooms are ok the service was a minus zero! Was there for three nights and every night we would come back to our room and there was no service, no clean towels, no coffee. When we complained the first night we were told that "they only clean the rooms every two days". Would have been nice to know that. I understand that its difficult to fond good help but at least they could change your towels (which felt like sandpaper) and given you new coffee. Don't think I will stay there again.

Had an okay stay at the Fairfield, got into town late but check in process was easy as I called ahead to let someone know I wouldn't be in until after midnight. Parking lot is small but it's free so no complaints here. Each time I entered the lobby I was greeted which was nice. The room itself was clean and stocked with towels. There was also a refrigerator and a microwave. The shower was enjoyable as it provided plenty of hot water but I'm pretty sure I heard the water heater through the wall (or it could've been from the next room....I honestly couldn't figure that out). Speaking of noises, the walls are paper thin. I could heard next door, down the hallway, everything. The beds were ok but a little too firm for my liking. The TV had the option to sign into my netflix which I appreciated. Free wifi is offered but since I have a bonvoy account I was able to get high speed wifi for free which was helpful as I still had some remote work to complete while there which included a zoom meeting. Housekeeping was nice as well (except for one lady who could be a bit snippy but that was a her problem, not a me problem). Anytime more towels and pillows were requested we received them without issue. Check out process was easy as well, had an early flight so I was able to leave quite early and received a receipt by email when turning in my key cards. Overall the hotel could use an good update both inside and out. Location wise it was accessible from 35 and near pretty much anything you would need (restaurants, grocery stores, mall, etc.). I visit temple often since I have family there but when returning I'll be taking a look at other options as far as hotels.

Tremendous value for the dollar. This s Fairfield location offers clean rooms, a decent fitness area (if you know what you're doing), friendly staff and walking distance from good restaurants, at least one of which is terrific.
This is my go-to property when in the Tem-Bel area.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Maricela C.Dallas, TX049May 31, 2021
Booked a stay for 2 nights. Checked in and found a dirty fridge and a kid toy and hair clip on the floor, beds poorly made. Notified front desk. They said it could not be cleaned until the next day. I spoke to front desk and the Cleaning super the next morning. She said she would personally take care of it. I returned the 2nd night food still in the fridge. I asked for front desk to call the manager it was close to midnight but I did not care. I then asked the front desk person to go clean the fridge. My brother also booked a room his shower had hair in the tub and a black stain on the bedspread. Also, I ran out of toilet paper and could not get the front desk to answer the phone. Be warned and spend your money elsewhere.

Very disappointed in this Marriott property. Perhaps corporate should visit the site. Needs updating. And desperate for friendlier morning front desk staff. They did not honor my reservation rate with the excuse she didn't have the authority to update the computer mistake.
Don't waste your money here. There appeared to be many other choices in the area.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tracy S.Killeen, TX1116112Oct 18, 2019
Stay elsewhere. This place is not well maintained and Marriott should audit this hotel as it does not meet Marriott standards. I chose this hotel because it is very close to Scott and White hospital. I had to undergo 2 days of medical tests and the location was perfect. The room was fairly clean but the hallways and elevator were poorly cleaned and maintained. The housekeeping staff looked SUPER SKETCHY!

Not up to Marriott standards, worn out remote didn't work, no answer at front desk, at front desk response was here try this one, breakfast: no butter and jelly and juice machine was broken, limited towels and no bath mat and product bottles were full of water. Not deal killers but very subpar: btw I am a Gold Elite Marriott Rewards member, I know how it should be
